[ Chemical Peels ]
What is a chemical peel?
A chemical peel is an exfoliating treatment that refreshes the skin, restores luminosity, and stimulates skin renewal. Chemical peels generally deliver more visible and corrective results than traditional facials. Chemical peels are the simplest and most cost-effective form of skin resurfacing, delivering visible results with minimal or no downtime. The newest generation of medical-grade peels are safe, suitable for most skin types, and can address multiple skin concerns at the same time.
Chemical peels are a suitable option for the following:
- Dull skin
- Aging skin
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Sun damage/brown spots
- Uneven skin tone and texture
- Enlarged Pores
- Acne and light acne scarring
What is the Treatment Like?
Chemical peels deliver gentle and controlled exfoliation of the superficial layers of the skin using one or more acids (i.e. glycolic acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid), or a combination of fruit enzymes. A Chemical peel takes approximately 30 minutes, and can be done on the face, neck, décolleté, or hands. The treatment is customized based on your skin type, skin concerns, and personal treatment plan. Once the appropriate peel has been selected, your skin will be thoroughly cleansed and prepped. The exfoliating solution is lightly applied with a brush, after which you will feel a warm or tingling sensation for several minutes. If necessary, a fan will be used to cool the skin. After a period of time, the peel solution will be neutralized (some peels are self-neutralizing) and post-treatment products will be applied. These may include treatment serums, masks, recovery creams, or sunblock. You will be then be given post-treatment instructions and products to take home with you.
Will There Be Downtime?
Immediately after the peel, your skin will feel fresh and may appear slightly flushed, or it may look like nothing was done at all! It really depends on the type and strength of the peel, as well as your individual skin profile. Approximately 3-5 days after the treatment, you may experience some skin sloughing that may or may not be visible. In some cases, especially in those patients who do regular peels, exfoliation occurs on a cellular level and is not apparent to the naked eye.
How Often Can I do a Clinical Peel?
Chemical peels can be performed as a stand-alone treatment for those looking to freshen-up their skin before a big event. Or they may be performed monthly for those patients seeking more corrective results.

[ Dermaplaning ]
What is dermaplaning?
DermaPlaning is a safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis, it also removes the fine vellus hair on the skin. Using a scalpel the medical aesthetician genitally removes the outer layers of the skin, removing the dead and dull cells and the vellus hair which can trap dirt and oil. Leaving the skin immediately smooth, supple and vibrant.
Dermaplaning is another non invasive method of skin rejuvenation.
This is a great treatment for patients who are pregnant or nursing who want a deep exfoliation, but are not allowed to use peeling agents on their skin. It is also a first choice for patients who have excess vellus hair on the skin. (It will not cause hair to grow back thicker/darker).
Dermaplaning (30 minutes) $60.00
Includes cleansing of the skin, dermaplaning exfoliation followed by hydration.
